Welcome to SatoshiJobs.org (“Site,” “Platform,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing or using the Site and related services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Description of Service

SatoshiJobs.org operates (a) a hiring platform with job listings posted by employers and aggregated from third-party sources, (b) a micro-task marketplace where users can post and complete small tasks ($10-$20) with escrow-based payments, and (c) subscription plans for employers. We are a technology platform that facilitates connections between users. We are not an employer, employment agency, staffing firm, or labor broker. We do not guarantee employment, task completion, quality of work, or availability of the Service.

2. Aggregated / Third-Party Job Listings

We may crawl, aggregate, or otherwise display job listings that originate from third-party websites. For such listings:

• We provide links or attribution to the original source where users can view full details and apply.
• We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or content of third-party listings or sites.
• Use of aggregated listings and any application or interaction with third-party sites is at your own risk.

3. Subscriptions (Employers)

We offer Free and Premium subscription plans. Payment for Premium is processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to the applicable plan terms, billing cycle, and any price changes communicated in advance. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except as required by law. You may cancel via the account or billing interface. We reserve the right to modify plans, features, and pricing with reasonable notice.

4. User Conduct

All users must:

• Provide accurate information in profiles, applications, task descriptions, and submissions.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Respect other users' confidentiality and intellectual property rights.
• Not use the Site for illegal purposes, fraud, harassment, or to transmit malware or spam.

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice.

5. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, LISTINGS (INCLUDING AGGREGATED LISTINGS), MARKETPLACE TASKS, ESCROW SERVICES, AND FEATURES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT LISTINGS OR TASKS ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT. WE ARE NOT AN EMPLOYMENT AGENCY, AND NOTHING ON THE SITE CONSTITUTES LEGAL, TAX, OR EMPLOYMENT ADVICE. YOU USE THE SITE AND RELY ON ANY LISTING, TASK, OR THIRD-PARTY LINK AT YOUR OWN RISK.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SATOSHIJOBS.ORG, ITS OPERATORS, OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, REVENUE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, ANY LISTING, MARKETPLACE TASK, ESCROW PAYMENT, THIRD-PARTY SITES, OR SUBSCRIPTIONS. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES ARISING FROM: (A) THE QUALITY, TIMELINESS, OR OUTCOME OF ANY TASK OR WORK PERFORMED; (B) DISPUTES BETWEEN TASK POSTERS AND WORKERS; (C) PAYMENT PROCESSING ERRORS OR DELAYS; (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT; OR (E) ANY THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD 100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SatoshiJobs.org, its operators, owners, employees, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Site or marketplace; (b) your content, task postings, or submissions; (c) your violation of these terms; (d) your violation of any third-party rights; (e) any dispute between you and another user; or (f) any tax obligations arising from payments received through the marketplace.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. You waive any objection to jurisdiction or venue in such courts. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Micro-Task Marketplace Terms

The following additional terms apply to the micro-task marketplace. By posting or completing tasks, you agree to these terms in addition to the general Terms of Service above.

1. Platform Role

SatoshiJobs.org acts solely as a technology platform that facilitates connections between task posters and workers. We are not a party to any agreement between posters and workers. We do not employ, supervise, direct, or control any worker. Workers are independent contractors, not employees of SatoshiJobs.org or of the task poster (unless separately agreed between those parties). We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or timeliness of any task, deliverable, or payment.

2. Task Requirements

• Tasks must be between $10 and $20 USD.
• Tasks must be legal, clearly described, and completable within a reasonable timeframe.
• Prohibited: illegal activities, adult content, financial fraud, tasks requiring third-party personal/financial information, IP infringement, and anything violating applicable law.
• We reserve the right to remove any task at our sole discretion without notice.

3. Escrow & Payments

• Task posters fund escrow via credit card (Stripe). Funds are held by SatoshiJobs.org until the task is approved or cancelled.
• A 10% platform fee is charged to the poster on top of the task budget. The worker receives the full task budget.
• Upon poster approval, the worker's payout is processed by the platform.
• If the poster cancels before work is submitted, a full refund is issued to the poster's original payment method.
• Refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days depending on the card issuer.
• We are not responsible for payment processing errors, delays, or failures caused by Stripe or other third-party providers.

4. Disputes & Resolution

• Both parties should first attempt to resolve disputes directly through the platform's messaging system.
• If unresolved, either party may contact support@satoshijobs.org to request mediation.
• We may, at our sole discretion, issue a full refund, release payment, issue a partial refund, or take other action we deem appropriate.
• Our dispute resolution decisions are final and binding. By using the marketplace, you agree to accept our decisions.
• We are under no obligation to mediate or resolve any dispute and may decline to intervene.

5. No Guarantee

We do not guarantee that: (a) any task will receive applications; (b) any worker will complete a task satisfactorily; (c) any poster will approve submitted work; (d) payments will be processed without delay; or (e) the marketplace will be available at all times.

6. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise agreed in writing between the poster and worker, all intellectual property rights in work product created by a worker for a task are transferred to the poster upon approval and payment. Workers represent that their submissions are original and do not infringe third-party IP rights. SatoshiJobs.org claims no ownership of any work product.

7. Tax Obligations

Each user is solely responsible for their own tax obligations. Workers must report and pay all applicable taxes on income earned. Posters are responsible for any applicable tax withholding or reporting. SatoshiJobs.org does not provide tax advice. We may report payment information to tax authorities as required by law (e.g., IRS Form 1099-K).

8. Account Suspension

We may suspend or terminate any user's marketplace access at any time for: violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, repeated disputes, abusive behavior, or any conduct harmful to the platform. Pending escrow funds will be handled per our dispute resolution process.

9. Prohibited Conduct

• Post fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive tasks or submissions.
• Circumvent the escrow system or platform fees.
• Arrange payments outside the platform to avoid fees.
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate the marketplace.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Submit work that infringes intellectual property rights.
• Use the marketplace for money laundering or illegal financial activity.
• Post tasks requiring workers to provide personal financial information.

10. Additional Liability Limitation

IN ADDITION TO THE GENERAL LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, SATOSHIJOBS.ORG SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR: (A) ANY LOSS ARISING FROM THE QUALITY OR OUTCOME OF WORK; (B) ANY DISPUTE BETWEEN POSTERS AND WORKERS; (C) ANY LOSS OF FUNDS DUE TO THIRD-PARTY PAYMENT PROCESSING ERRORS; (D) ANY DAMAGES FROM DELAYED OR FAILED PAYOUTS; (E) ANY DAMAGES FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCOUNT ACCESS; OR (F) ANY TAX LIABILITY INCURRED BY USERS. THE MARKETPLACE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND YOUR USE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Privacy Policy

We collect and use personal data to operate the hiring platform and marketplace, provide subscriptions, process payments, and improve the Service. By using the Site, you consent to the practices described below.

Information We Collect

• Job seekers: name, email, resume, profile data, and application information.
• Employers: company name, contact details, job listings, and billing data.
• Marketplace users: task descriptions, submissions, payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers), communication history, and payout details.
• Technical and usage data (IP address, device info, logs) for security and analytics.

How We Use Your Information

• To connect job seekers with opportunities and employers with candidates.
• To facilitate marketplace tasks, escrow payments, and worker payouts.
• To manage subscriptions and process payments via Stripe.
• To send transactional emails (task updates, receipts, approvals, refunds).
• To resolve disputes and enforce our terms.
• To improve the Site, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

Sharing and Third Parties

We share data with service providers (Stripe for payments, Clerk for authentication, Supabase for data storage, email providers). We do not sell your personal data. Task-related information may be shared between poster and worker as necessary.

Payment Data

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers. See stripe.com/privacy.

Security and Retention

We implement reasonable security measures including encryption. We retain data as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, or resolve disputes. Request access, correction, or deletion at support@satoshijobs.org.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Contact support@satoshijobs.org to exercise these rights.
